This award is presented to acknowledge the extraordinary effort and dedication of a member to meeting the Club's goals and mission during the time period of October 1 of previous year to September 30 of current year. Written nominations from the membership are submitted to a committee charged with selecting the Club's Outstanding Member of the Year. This member is nominated by the Club for a Federated Garden Clubs of CT for an appropriate state or national award(s).
The winner is announced at the December Holiday Luncheon and receives a $50 gift certificate from the Club. The Club also sponsors the winner and the Club President in office during the service period of the award at the Federated Garden Clubs of CT Awards Luncheon the following October.
